Sharvari Wagh: A Rising Star in Bollywood
Born on June 14, 1997, Sharvari Wagh, an emerging talent in the Hindi film industry, is already making waves with her impressive performances. Hailing from a Marathi family, Sharvari’s journey into the limelight began in 2015 when she worked as an assistant director for renowned filmmakers like Luv Ranjan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. However, it wasn’t until 2020 that she made her acting debut with The Forgotten Army – Azaadi Ke Liye, a series directed by Kabir Khan.
Sharvari’s cinematic career took off in 2021 with her debut film Bunty Aur Babli 2, where she shared the screen with Rani Mukerji, Saif Ali Khan, and Siddhant Chaturvedi. Her performance in the film was widely appreciated, earning her accolades such as the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. While the film did not perform well at the box office, Sharvari’s star was clearly on the rise.

In 2024, Sharvari’s career reached a new milestone with her role in Munjya, a comedy-horror film based on a Maharashtrian folktale. The film, which forms part of the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe, was a commercial success and solidified Sharvari as one of Bollywood’s brightest young stars.
Sharvari’s other notable works include a brief yet impactful appearance in Maharaj and a lead role in Vedaa opposite John Abraham. Despite Vedaa‘s mixed reception at the box office, Sharvari’s portrayal of a Dalit woman fighting against societal norms was highly praised by critics.
Looking ahead, Sharvari is set to make her mark in the YRF Spy Universe, starring alongside Alia Bhatt in Alpha, and will also feature in Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming romantic drama Main Wapas Aaunga with Diljit Dosanjh and Vedang Raina.
Sharvari Wagh’s journey is just beginning, and we can expect her to continue captivating audiences with her talent and dedication to her craft.
